Frequently Asked Question

Dialing Rules won't accept character *
Last Updated 2 years ago

In the first releases of Cetis' 3rd generation of phones, 3.0.0-040 and 3.0.0-043, there is a limitation of 10 dialing rules, and in some cases people have wanted to use feature codes beginning with the * character as a dialing rule, so the phone will immediately dial/send the SIP info when the particular digits are dialed.

When creating a dialing rule using, for example *78 in the web User Interface, an error would be displayed

"Wrong "Rule" input, please modify and try again!"
A work-around for this is to modify your configuration file's Digital Map and load the modified config file back on to the phone...example of Dialing Rules/[Digital Map] below

[Digital_Map]
Item1_Prefixstring=*78 - adding *78 here will operate correctly and populate the field webUI
Item2_Prefixstring=3xxx
Item3_Prefixstring=
Item4_Prefixstring=
Item5_Prefixstring=
Item6_Prefixstring=
Item7_Prefixstring=
Item8_Prefixstring=
Item9_Prefixstring=
Item10_Prefixstring=
EndPound=1
DelRedialTimeout=60
AutoDialEnable=1
AutoDialTimeout=5
