This version of firmware constitutes Cetis’ 4th generation of SIP phones based upon a new DSPG 9918 chipset and SIP stack (replacing the 3GEN 8187 DSPG Chipset). Cetis SIP firmware follows a naming convention based on model. All Cetis IP phones share the same base chipset and firmware. Server registration, SIP messaging, and call control are all the same. The different model prefixed versions are to accommodate variances in single vs. true 2-line capability, corded vs. cordless radio handsets and LCD display screen sizes. and includes numerous enhancements and bug fixes.

Upgrade Considerations
The 4th generation firmware of SIP phones is wholly incompatible with 1st generation SIP phones, 2nd generation and 3rd generation SIP phones. They utilize a new chip and firmware. Many of the feature-sets for diagnostic troubleshooting, such as QuickKeys (* * codes) have been retained in the new 4th generation to provide continuity of customer experience, configuration files are also interchangeable with 3rd generation SIP phones.
Enhancements for User Continuity with 1st Generation Features
LLDP-MED – Link Layer Discovery Protocol – Media Endpoint Discovery is added in 2nd-gen phones
QuickKey (**) codes for **47 (47=IP) audible and displayed on LCD phones - Example: **47# will read off IP address in audio and display on LCD screen
Add support for reprogram **77 – (77RP) Example: to reprogram you would enter **77**#, this would download the respective file from the TFTP server
Add support for show VLAN **85 – (85=VL) Example: **85#, this will display the current VLAN ID, either audio, video, or both
Add support for Set VLAN **87 – (87=VS) Example **87*’password’*‘VLAN#, this would change the Vlan to a new VLAN ID
Add support for Show firmware Version **39 - Example **39#, this will display the current Firmware version on the LCD or in audio or both.
Add support for show TFTP server address **83 - Example **83#, this will display the current TFTP server IP address on the LCD or in audio or both
QuickKey (**) codes for Factory Reset, Reboot and Teleworker install have been added.
**33*# - (33=FD) Reset the phone back to factory defaults, just like the POST MODE reset. is the keypad password.
**72# - (72=RB) Reboot phone WITHOUT resetting to default.
**89***# - (89=TW) Install config file from specific TFTP server. To download a config file for a phone remotely, this **TW code is used for designating a tftp server IP address and configID to download. is the keypad password. In the tftp server address, each “.” is replaced by a “*” as well. For example, **89*123*192*168*1*188*7201#.

Compared with the 052 version, the 055 version has changed as follows.
1. Modified the bug of daylight time (Bug 1338 = **37# to toggle DST ON/OFF) - EWK
2. Web page added to display electro-acoustic parameters version.
To view specific electroacoustic parameter values, you need to use the SSH command line:
1.First login with root account, password:root888
2.View electro-acoustic configuration：

3.Load the electroacoustic configuration file：
>LoadConfig config.ini {{tftp_server.ip}}
4.The electroacoustic file takes effect after reboot
The electro-acoustic file is designed to adapt to some occasions where the default sound range cannot meet the customer's needs, and various sounds can be adjusted by modifying the adjustable level parameters without having to modify the sound by upgrading the firmware
In general, there is no need to modify the parameters, just use the default value.
The 4th IP phone differ from 3rd IP phone in the name of the file, the Restore System file is rootfs.jffs2 instead of update.bin

- Response from tester Kevin Selkowitz - Thanks for the update, I tried the new firmware and we're getting closer but not quite there yet.
The good news is the proper DNS SRV query is being done when the Domain Realm field is what I'd consider the outbound proxy. (note the outbound proxy doesn't seem to do anything)
The bad news is the FROM address is wrong.
From: ""<sip:1701@useast.ucsandbox.net:5060<="" a>="">;tag=1926109298
I need the from address to be like hotelselkowitz.nlv.uc. Generally I'd expect the domain realm field to be hotelselkowitz.nlv.uc and outbound proxy to be useast.ucsandbox.net.

The bad: on a few ad-hoc tests I did notice another situation where the phone is ignoring INVITEs. This case has to do with attended transfer initiated from a SIP phone. Attended transfers initiated from H323 phones are OK. Blind transfers are OK. Attended conference has the same problem. A problem trace looks like the trace from the first build (052 I believe) when E200IP didn’t respond to INVITEs. I have 2 traces attached for your review:
OK: SIP_To_H323_H323AttdXfer_To_E200 : SIP calls H323; H323 initiates attended transfer to E200IP; E200IP answers; H323 & E200IP converse; H323 completes transfer; E200IP & SIP converse
Not OK: H323_To_SIP_XferAttd_To_E200 : H323 calls SIP; SIP initiates attended transfer to E200IP; INVITEs go to E200IP; E200IP does not respond.

Judging from the data packet, the reason for this problem is that the server did not reply to the 180 Ringing message. Now it has done compatible processing. The attachment is the modified firmware.
